Farmington 9A earns the #2 seed and 9B earns the number #4 seed in the South Suburban Conference 9th grade tournaments tomorrow at Burnsville High School. 9B has their first game at 10:00 am and should be to Burnsville HS Saturday by 9:30 am. Farmington 9A has their first game at 1:15 pm and should arrive by 12:15 pm. Go get them Tigers!

The 9th grade South Suburban Conference tournament will be Saturday, March 2nd. Both Farmington 9A and 9B teams will participate. The schedule will come out the night before on Friday, March 1st. Games will be between 10 am and 8pm. 9th graders will need to find their own transportation to and from the tournament as there will not be a bus. Also make sure you have food or money with to eat in between games.

Also this year both Farmington 9th grade teams will be invited to our end of the season boys basketball banquet which will be held Tuesday, March 19th at 6:30 pm at Boeckmann Middle School in the commons. The meal at the banquet will be catered. There is no additional cost to attend.

The merchandise from the Farmington boys basketball Nike team store arrived today. Any families that ordered merchandise can pick it up tonight at the boys basketball game between 7:00-7:30 pm before the varsity game on the track around the main gym. Look for the boys booster club board members.

Tomorrow is Alumni Night in Farmington for the boys/girls double header vs New Prague. All former girls and boys basketball players are invited to come to the varsity games at FHS to cheer on the Tigers. The girls varsity game will begin at 6:00 pm and the boys game will follow at 7:30 pm. After the conclusion of the boys game there will be reception in the commons with refreshments. Alumni are invited to join us to see former team mates and coaches. Should be a great night of Farmington basketball!

The 10A game for tomorrow has changed location and will now be played in Farmington rather than at New Prague. So the schedule tomorrow will look like this Friday for the boys/girls double header:

9A – 4:00 pm at New Prague High School

JV – 4:30 pm in Farmington HS auxiliary gym

9B – 5:00 pm at New Prague HS following conclusion of 9A game

10A – 6:00 pm in FHS auxiliary gym following the conclusion of the JV game

Varsity – 7:30 pm in FHS main gym following the conclusion of the girls’ varsity game

Farmington will scrimmage Northfield on Wednesday, November 28th from 5-7pm at Farmington High School. All five levels will scrimmage with 9A and 9B scrimmaging in the aux gym and Varsity, JV, and 10A scrimmaging in the main gym. There is no admission being charged to come watch although spectators will need to watch from the track above the gym as there will not be any seating on the courts. Players will wear reversible practice jerseys.

The fall league is played at Bloomington Jefferson High School or Hopkins High School. NOTE THAT BOTH VARSITY BLACK AND VARSITY ORANGE ARE AT HOPKINS HIGH SCHOOL THIS WEEK. Please check the rosters below to see what team you will be playing on as a few changes were made as fall sports are finishing up. These rosters do not have any reflection about which team a player will play on for winter season. Those teams will be determined at try-outs. Also rosters may change once fall athletes finish up their school seasons. Please let the coaches know if you will not be able to make it this Sunday.

Each Sunday teams will play two league games. Please try to arrive 20 minutes before your first scheduled start time. Players should wear their reversible black and white Farmington practice jerseys. Most boys that played last year should already have a jersey. 9th graders or players who do not have a jersey will be given a jersey to borrow for the fall league at the game. Any borrowed jerseys will be collected at the end of fall league.

The boys basketball parent meeting is tonight: Thursday, November 1st at 7:00pm in the large lecture hall at Farmington High School. We will go over basketball season tryouts and information. The booster club will also be discussing information about team warmups, shoes, apparel, and memberships. Please try to attend.

Tryouts for 10-12th grade boys basketball begin Monday, November 19th before school at 6:30 am. Make sure your son has an up to date physical on file at the FHS athletic office as they will not be able to tryout without it.
