Hello Boys Basketball Families,
Our main fundraiser is this April 13-14 hosting an MYAS basketball tournament. Shifts are available to sign up. Also remember the incentive program below for fulfilling your shifts.
Boys Basketball Program Volunteer Incentives:
2 shifts (5 hours) – Warm-up top covered by Booster Club
** If you work 6 hours, try out for a basketball team but do not make a team next season, you are still eligible for a warm-up top if you choose. You are responsible to contact the booster club to receive your top. You will not be reimbursed monetarily for hours worked. All grades are eligible for this incentive**
4 shifts (10 hours) – Warm-up top and pants covered by Booster Club
**If you work 12 hours, try out for a basketball team but do not make a team next season, you are eligible for a warm-up top only, if you choose. You are responsible to contact the booster club to receive your top. You will not be reimbursed monetarily for hours worked. **
** Please note that current 8th graders are not eligible for this incentive**
6 shifts (15 hours) – 1/2 of Summer League paid by Booster Club ($60)
** All grades are eligible for this incentive.**
**If you are a current 8th grader you are eligible for this incentive at 12 hours worked.**
AAU – Tournament shifts will be as follows:
Time clocks: One player per court/per shift (5 games per hour plus a runner) 7:45am-11:15am, 11:00am-2:30pm, 2:15pm-5:45pm, 5:30pm-7:55pm, 7:40pm-10:00pm
**Games on Saturday may go past 10pm. Coach Johnson will provide time clock information to players, including current 8th graders**
Admissions: 2 volunteers per shift – 7am-10am, 10:00am-1pm, 1pm-4pm, 4pm-7pm, 7pm-8:30pm,8:30pm-10pm
**Admissions volunteers are required to stay until after half-time of the last game of the evening**
Concessions: 3 volunteers per shift – 7am-10am, 10:00am-1pm, 1pm-4pm, 4pm-7pm, 7pm-8:30pm,8:30pm-10pm
**The last 2 shifts on Saturday night will count as a full shift worked**
**Concessions volunteers are required to stay until end of shift and help with any clean-up necessary. At least one adult must be working in concession stand with players. Players must be in 16 or over to work in stand. Please sign players up on time clocks prior to signing up in concessions. We ask that players only be signed up to work concessions if they have an adult in their family that cannot work during the tournament. Coach Johnson will provide time clock information to the players.**
If any shift is completed, or you are dismissed prior to the 3 hours, you will receive credit for 3 hours worked (1 shift). All volunteers MUST sign in once they arrive or they will NOT receive credit for the shift. If all shifts for this tournament are filled and your family has not completed their obligations, we will discuss future available shifts for other events. This is only if -ALL- shifts fill at this tournament.
Brackets for the tournament will be confirmed the week before. It is possible some shifts may change. If your shift gets cancelled, we ask that you take on a different shift if possible.
