Volunteer sign-up for June 9-10 tournament fundraiser

Hello Boys Basketball Families,

We are happy to confirm that we have received a new opportunity to host a basketball tournament on June 9th and 10th to make up for the one we lost due to weather. We understand that this is short notice and there are a lot of events happening that weekend, including graduation, but we need your help to make this tournament a success. We have tried to accommodate the craziness of the weekend by shortening the shifts. All shifts will be 2 1/2 hours. So, we are asking all families of current 8th through 11th grade boys to participate in this event.

Boys Basketball Program Volunteer Incentives:

2 shifts (5 hours) – Warm-up top covered by Booster Club

** If you work 5 hours and do not make a basketball team next season, you are still eligible for a warm-up top if you choose. You will not be reimbursed monetarily for hours worked. All grades are eligible for this incentive** 

4 shifts (10 hours) – Warm-up top and pants covered by Booster Club

**If you work 10 hours and do not make a basketball team next season, you are eligible for a warm-up top only, if you choose. You will not be reimbursed monetarily for hours worked. **

** Please note that current 8th graders are not eligible for this incentive**

6 shifts (15 hours) – 1/2 of Summer League paid by Booster Club ($60)

**Please note, registration has already closed for the summer league, so you must have already registered in order to receive this incentive. All grades are eligible.**

**If you are a current 8th grader you are eligible for this incentive at 10 hours worked.**

 

AAU Tournament shifts will be as follows:

Time clocks: One player per court/per shift (5 games per hour plus a runner) 7am-9:30am, 9:30am-12pm, 12pm-2:30pm, 2:30pm-5pm, 5pm-7:30pm, 7:30pm-10pm

Sign-Up Genius for players to work scoreboards

Admissions: 2 volunteers per shift – 7am-9:30am, 9:30am-12pm, 12pm-2:30pm, 2:30pm-5pm, 5pm-7:30pm,7:30pm-10pm

**Admissions volunteers are required to stay until after half-time of the last game of the evening**

Concessions: 3 volunteers per shift – 7am-9:30am, 9:30am-12pm, 12pm-2:30pm, 2:30pm-5pm, 5pm-7:30pm,7:30pm-10pm

**Concessions volunteers are required to stay until end of shift and help with any clean-up necessary. At least one adult must be working in concession stand with players. Players must be in 10th grade or over 17 to work in stand. Please sign players up on time clocks prior to signing up in concessions. We ask that players only be signed up to work concessions if they have an adult in their family that cannot work during the tournament. Coach Johnson will provide time clock information to the players.**

If any shift is completed, or you are dismissed, prior to the 2.5 hours, you will receive credit for 2.5 hours worked (1 shift). All volunteers MUST sign in once they arrive or they will NOT receive credit for the shift. If all shifts for this tournament are filled and your family has not completed their obligations, we will discuss future available shifts for other events. This is only if ALL shifts fill at this tournament.

Brackets for the tournament will be confirmed the week of June 4th. It is possible some shifts may change. If your shift gets cancelled, we ask that you take on a different shift if possible.
