REMINDER – FARMINGTON BOYS BASKETBALL BOOSTER CLUB ANNUAL MEETING & ELECTIONS 4/5/18

The Boys Basketball Booster Club of Farmington High School will hold their annual meeting on Thursday, April 5th, 2018 at 7pm in the Media Center. There will be a review of the 2017-2018 season and we will look ahead and hold elections for Board positions for the 2018-2019 season. Nominations for Board positions will be accepted starting TODAY, Monday, April 2nd through MIDNIGHT of Wednesday, April 4th. Anyone interested in nominating someone or themselves may email the nomination to farmingtonbasketball@gmail.com. Available positions for the 2018-2019 season are listed below with a description of responsibility.  Some positions will have an incumbent member running for the same or different position but please consider joining our team! We have added more Coordinator positions this year to help with our most important fundraisers and team support tasks so we NEED YOUR HELP! All families who supported the club in 2017-2018 by donating a sponsorship are entitled to one vote per family during the annual meeting so we encourage you all to attend! PRESIDENT –

  • 2-Year Term
  • Has the responsibility of the general management of the Farmington Boys Basketball Booster Club.
  • Serve as the primary liaison between the Farmington Boys Basketball Booster Club and Boys Basketball staff.
  • Preside at all meetings of the Farmington Boys Basketball Booster Club and prepare the supporting agenda.
  • Have the authority to cancel or reschedule meetings. President MUST be in attendance for ALL meetings.
  • Appoint the chairperson of all special committees with the approval of the Board.
  • Have signature authority of all checks and disbursements, in all accounts.
  • Has the power to make purchases on behalf of the Farmington Boys Basketball Booster Club.
  • Attends monthly Tiger Fan Club Meetings representing the Boys Basketball Booster Club.

 

VICE-PRESIDENT –

  • 1-Year Term
  • The Vice-President shall uphold the by-laws of the Farmington Boys Basketball Booster Club and………
  • Perform all duties of the President in the absence of the President.
  • Be a member of all committees.
  • Perform all other duties as may be required by the Farmington Boys Basketball Booster Club and its officers.
  • Attend all booster activities related or led by the booster club (E.g. fill in at concessions, help with half-time events, help with Chik-Fil- A fundraiser night, Bingo, etc.).
  • Help out all other booster positions as requested (E.g. help fundraising director secure giveaways, sponsorship, etc., order food for senior night, etc).
  • Attend TFC meetings as requested by President.
  • Vice-President MUST be in attendance for ALL Booster Club meetings.

 

SECRETARY –

  • 1-Year Term
  • The Secretary shall uphold the by-laws of the Farmington Boys Basketball Booster Club and………
  • Record minutes of all meetings of the Farmington Boys Basketball Booster Club.
  • Distribute the minutes to the Board of Directors within one week after each meeting and maintain a soft copy record of all minutes. Send soft copy to Director of Communications to post on websites.
  • Keep and maintain all records of the Farmington Boys Basketball Booster Club.
  • Attend all booster activities related or led by the booster club (E.g. fill in at concessions, help with half-time events, help with Chik-Fil- A fundraiser night, Bingo, etc.).
  • Help out all other booster positions as requested (E.g. help fundraising director secure giveaways, sponsorship, etc., order food for senior night, etc).
  • Responsible to maintain all official correspondence of the Farmington Boys Basketball Booster Club.
  • Perform all other duties as may be required by the Farmington Boys Basketball Booster Club and its officers.
  • Secretary MUST be in attendance for ALL meetings.

 

TREASURER –

  • 1-Year Term
  • The Treasurer shall uphold the by-laws of the Farmington Boys Basketball Booster Club and………
  • Is responsible for the care and safekeeping of the funds of the Farmington Boys Basketball Booster Club.
  • Keep an accurate account of all financial transactions authorized by the Board of Directors.
  • Present monthly reports and bills at the regular monthly meetings.
  • Ensure compliance with all financial reporting as required by the Tiger Fan Club.
  • Present financial figures for the consideration of the annual budget.
  • Prepare a year end report.
  • Attend all booster activities related or led by the booster club (E.g. fill in at concessions, help with half-time events, help with Chik-Fil- A fundraiser night, Bingo, etc.).
  • Help out all other booster positions as requested (E.g. help fundraising director secure giveaways, sponsorship, etc., order food for senior night, etc).
  • Perform all other duties as may be required by the Farmington Boys Basketball Booster Club and its officers.
  • Treasurer MUST be in attendance for ALL meetings.

 

DIRECTOR OF COMMUNICATIONS –

  • 1-Year Term
  • The Director of Communications shall uphold the by-laws of the Farmington Boys Basketball Booster Club and………
  • Oversees and maintains all content on the website including any registrations.
  • Point of contact for all email, social media and website related issues.
  • Drives all communications of the Farmington Boys Basketball Booster Club.
  • Attend all booster activities related or led by the booster club (E.g. fill in at concessions, help with half-time events, help with Chik-Fil- A fundraiser night, Bingo, etc.).
  • Help out all other booster positions as requested (E.g. help fundraising director secure giveaways, sponsorship, etc., order food for senior night, etc).
  • Perform all other duties as may be required by the Farmington Boys Basketball Booster Club and its officers.
  • Director of Communications MUST be in attendance for ALL meetings.

 

DIRECTOR OF FUNDRAISING –

  • 1-Year Term
  • The Director of Fundraising shall uphold the by-laws of the Farmington Boys Basketball Booster Club and………
  • Coordinate all fundraising activities for each year including overseeing all fundraising coordinators.
  • Coordination of all fund raising activities of the Farmington Boys Basketball Booster Club must be approved by the FFBC in order to avoid conflict or duplication of efforts.
  • Attend all booster activities related or led by the booster club (E.g. fill in at concessions, help with half-time events, help with Chik-Fil- A fundraiser night, Bingo, etc.).
  • Help out all other booster positions as requested (E.g. help fundraising director secure giveaways, sponsorship, etc., order food for senior night, etc).
  • Perform all other duties as may be required by the Farmington Boys Basketball Booster Club and its officers.
  • Director of Fundraising MUST be in attendance for ALL meetings.

 

DIRECTOR OF VOLUNTEERS-

  • 1-Year Term
  • The Director of Volunteers shall uphold the by-laws of the Farmington Boys Basketball Booster Club and………
  • Coordinates all volunteer needs as defined by the Farmington Boys Basketball Booster Club and the Head Boys Basketball Coach through our Dibs system under our website under Tiger Fan Club.
  • Manages all sign ups for volunteer needs.
  • Attend all booster activities related or led by the booster club (E.g. fill in at concessions, help with half-time events, help with Chik-Fil- A fundraiser night, Bingo, etc.).
  • Help out all other booster positions as requested (E.g. help fundraising director secure giveaways, sponsorship, etc., order food for senior night, etc).
  • Perform all other duties as may be required by the Farmington Boys Basketball Booster Club and its officers.
  • Director of Volunteers MUST be in attendance for ALL meetings.

 

ADVISORS & COORDINATORS –

The Farmington Boys Basketball Booster Club shall indicate a number of advisors and coordinators each year as needed. All advisors and coordinators shall uphold the by-laws of the Farmington Boys Basketball Booster Club.  The following coordinators are needed for the 2018-2019 season:

 

Team Meal Coordinator – Arrange all details for team meals during the season.

 

Apparel & Warm-ups Coordinator – Arrange details and process for warm-ups being handled by Booster Club,

 

AAU Coordinator – Responsible to manage AAU tournament fundraiser.

 

Fundraiser Coordinator – Help with fundraising activities and events with Fundraising Director.
